When your shoulder hurts, do you feel your right hand more connected to your right foot or your left foot? Maybe you’ve never considered this question, or it even sounds nonsensical to you. Exploring your hand-to-foot, or shoulder-to-hip connections can improve the quality of your movement, especially the movement of your shoulder. I have used variations of this lesson, in many positions, with a number of people who had shoulder pain or “frozen shoulder.”
Much of this lesson is done lying on the floor with the legs long. If that position is uncomfortable for you, please take lots of time to move into other positions and rest. One of the best things about listening to these recordings is you can stop anytime you want, to experiment more with the movement, or to rest.
