Do you have knee pain or have you recently had knee surgery? Are you afraid that everyday movements will cause knee pain? Here is a very simple guided movement series, lasting only 15 minutes, that you might consider. The last time I taught this sequence, a student in my class had complained of knee pain that would not stop. Not only did she feel better after doing these movements, but the relief was still with her when I saw her at the following week’s class. “It was the best week I’ve had in ages!” she told me.
You’ll need to be near a wall to do these movements. As always, take it very slowly and move very little. If anything increases discomfort, stop doing the movements, get comfortable and then begin again, listening to the recording and imagining the movements.
