Treat Your Feet!

Newborn-Baby-FeetHow do you treat your feet? And what would life be like if they were happier?

Many people suffer with painful foot conditions – bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, and plain old aches and tiredness. Of course most of us ask much from our feet with no idea how they want to be treated.

I’m teaching a workshop Saturday, July 30, from 11 – 2 in Encinitas that will be devoted completely to giving your feet a treat. No matter how much you know, you can learn something new and improve your function.

Maybe you read this article, describing research on the academic performance of kids who attend school classes without wearing shoes. The children performed better than kids who wore shoes and were better behaved. Though researchers guessed that the improved performance was due to being “more relaxed,” I can’t help but wonder if there also was something about having full functionality that contributed to a better quality of life.

The workshop is at the Encinitas Community Center and you can sign up here. This is a workshop for everyone – whether you have foot problems or just want to avoid them. The Community Center is a beautiful facility with lots of natural light and mats are provided. Dress in layers, in comfortable clothes, and bring whatever keeps you comfortable (props, blankets, hand towels). A snack will be provided.
